Lesson one, learn and understand the following:
GenAI, Tokens, Bias, EU AI Act, Transformers, Gemeni, Natural Language Processing, Transparency, Security, Social Impact, AWS Kendra, Chroma, Palm, Mistral, Bard, Large Language Models, Automation, Streamlit, Deep Learning, Prompt Engineering, OpenAI, Anthropic, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Llama 2, Unstructured, Google AI, Llama3, DeeMind, ISO/IEC 23053:2022, Gartner’s TRiSM Framework, Chunking, Retrieval Augmented Generation, Training, Goal+Context+Expectation+Source, Retriever, Top-K, Temperature, Copilot, Prompt Engineering, RAG, Agents, VectorDB, AND MANY MORE!
Wow, that’s a lot of new tech talk, right? Don’t worry, this is just a tiny peek into the amazing world of generative AI (genAI for short). Thinking about using this cool tech in your business? Great idea! But before you dive in, there are three things to keep in mind:
Be open to change: Remember when cloud storage first came out? Everyone was worried about security and costs (and rightfully so!). But guess what? Things got better, and now everyone uses it. The same will happen with genAI. It’s still new, but it’s getting stronger and better every day.
Learning is key: Sometimes companies make changes without preparing their employees. This can be stressful! The best way to embrace genAI is to give your team time to learn and explore. This builds confidence and shows you care about their success.
Expect things to change fast: genAI is like a kid learning new things every day. There are new ways to use it popping up all the time! Be ready to adapt and learn alongside this powerful tech. Just a little over a year retrieval augmented generation (RAG) was the best way to implement a large language model with your business data. Now, there are multiple flavors of RAG and most recent, I am now seeing Agents being the next wave.
